Student Activities

ANC has a wide range of extra-curricular activities and students are encouraged to actively participate in the entire spectrum of clubs and committees available to them. Such activities are not only enjoyable, they also broaden a student’s range of interests, increase networking opportunities, and enrich their education. Most of these activities are organized by students for students, and give both current and new students the opportunity to integrate into the ANC community. Movie nights, quiz days, sports, and charity work feature significantly in the social agenda at ANC.

ANC Student Council
Student Council of ANC has been the mediator between the administration and the student body. Individuals who are elected via a democratic student body election play their part by being the voice of the students, organizing events and watching over student activities organized by clubs and societies. With the rapid expansion of the student body the council members face new challengers each year. However, it is their duty to make sure that everything is done smoothly and done in a manner that prioritizes the student body’s interest .


Rotaract Club
The Rotaract club was launched in Spring 2003 and is actively involved in community service projects and networking activities. Sample projects include reading books to the blind and distribution of clothing to children in need.

Performing Arts Club
The Performing Arts Club was inaugurated in Fall 2004.This club work towards bringing out the hidden talents of ANC students, and encourages them to improve their skills by way of organizing talent shows, public concerts, etc. This club also provides entertainment for all other events organized by other clubs and committees.

Sports Committee
This society arranges inter school sporting events including rugby, cricket, rowing, basketball and tennis. The committee also organizes a highly popular and successful Sports Day, the highlight of which is the Staff vs. Students cricket match.

Business Club
The Business Club was inaugurated in Spring 2006 with the goal of teaching business majors management and entrepreneurship skills, and to help them experience the contemporary business world. Projects organized by this club include visits to major business organizations in Bangalore, India and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I.T. Society
ANC Education IT society is primarily comprised of the IT majors of ANC Education, however as it expanded other majoring students joined and participated in the society’s activities. ANC IT society’s ‘Vision’ is to create a platform with opportunities to build all around performing IT personals, while the ‘Mission’ to expose students into the IT sector to learn and gain experience.

The Art Club
The objective, vision and mission of the Art Club of ANC is to enhance the talents of all students and to bring them under the limelight. ANC Art Club do not limit “talent” to music, drama and art but go beyond from the conventional boundaries into more modern aspects of art.

Moreover, the Art Club is more than a “gold mine” of talent. It is also a place where student will learn skills such as public presentation and other soft skills which would help them in the long run.

Charity Committee
The Charity Committee is one of the oldest clubs at ANC and involves its members in charitable work for the community and those less fortunate.

Psychology Society
The Psychology Society envisions raising awareness and promoting the purpose of psychology knowing that it is a dire need in today’s society. Through its projects and activities, the Psychology Society acts as a base upon which, psychology undergraduates of ANC acquire industry knowledge, exposure and skills needed to become successful mental health practitioners in psychology-related fields, upon graduation.

ANC Engineering Student Association (ANCESA)
The American National College Engineering Students Association functions with the main objectives of providing a platform for students from diverse programs and backgrounds to make ties with each other and to go beyond the borders of traditional classroom learning, to experience the broader prospects of Engineering and how it’s performed in a professional level.
