General
- ANC policy for Late Final RegistrationFinal – Registrations for the New Semester are issued to students by the Registrar 2 weeks before the Final exams of the Current Semester. Students should have the financial clearance from the Business Office by paying the first installment of tuition fees for the New Semester before collecting the Final Registration Form which happens two weeks after the Pre‐registration date. Final Registration Form includes the confirmation of the registered subjects with the sections and the class schedule.
- ANC policy for Non-Payment of Tuition FeesIf a student fails to honour paying full fees due for that semester by the 10th week then he/she will be administratively withdrawn from all the courses.
- ANC Policy on Student DisciplineStudents will behave in a manner that makes clear their respect for their college, members of Academic and Administrative staff, and their colleagues.
- ANC policy on Computer Lab usageThe ANC computer lab aims to provide basic, functional computer services for students who have practical classes and study related work and All users are required to sign the log sheet before and after using a workstation. The ANC computer lab aims to provide an environment where users may get support and assistance with computer related issues.
- ANC policy on Library usage The ANC library seeks to provide its users with a safe and pleasant library experience in an atmosphere conducive to study, reading and appropriate use of materials and services. So that all persons may enjoy the benefits of the Library, individuals visiting or using the Library's facilities or services must comply with the guidelines for library use.
- Dress Code : American National College proudly maintains a dress code for its faculty and students. The dress code is designed to provide a high standard of personal care and pride in appearance. Faculty members are expected to dress according to both the spirit and the letter of the dress code, promoting a positive image and in keeping with the nature of the work and the position of authority that it entails .For men, sports coats and suits are not required. However, it is assumed that a faculty member will dress in shirt and tie while on campus during the class week or when representing ANC at any formal occasion.For women, it is assumed that proper classroom dress will be observed - sari, dresses, skirts, pants, blouses and jackets are all acceptable provided that they reflect the standards outlined above.
Program Specific
US Program
- ANC policy for administrative withdrawal from Courses - US ProgramIf a student is belonging to at least one of the following categories for a specific course in a semester then the student will be administratively withdrawn from that course at the end of ninth‐week.
(1) Attendance counted up to ninth‐week is less than 65%
(2) Cumulative average mark of all continuous assessments up to ninth‐week is less than 75%
(3) Lecturer believes the student has no chance of passing the course.
Australian Program
- ANC policy on offering units out of sequence - Monash Program
Out of sequence units will be offered on student requests if ANC feels such requests are genuine and help student to transfer in a timely manner.
» Students can request only the previously failed units by the end of the fifth week of the current trimester.
» Units that will be offered out of sequence will be included on the list of units for the next trimester at the time of preregistration (Seventh week).
» Under certain situations (If all the enrolled students have taken this unit previously), ANC commitment would only be the revision of this unit (Mostly within 50% of lecture time).
» Fees for such offerings will be calculated on a different basis. - ANC policy for administrative withdrawal from courses - Monash Program
If a student is belonging to at least one of the following categories for a specific
course in a semester then the student will be administratively withdrawn from
that course at the end of ninth‐week.
(1) Attendance counted up to ninth‐week is less than 65%
(2) Cumulative average mark of all continuous assessments up to ninth‐week is less than 60%
(3) Lecturer believes the student has no chance of passing the course - ANC policy on allocation of courses based on performance – Monash Program
