Having grown from an initial intake of 46 in 2002, ANC Education has prepared over 4,000 Sri Lankan and international students for major education systems – viz. American Australian and British. ANC Education has a significant number of international students from countries such as India, Maldives, South Korea, China and Europe. ANC Education started offering Northern Consortium UK (NCUK) programmes through a formal agreement and these programmes include International Foundation Year and International Diploma (university 1st year) in Business and Engineering. So far ANC Education has completed three academic years under this agreement and the fourth academic year is currently underway.
The ANC Education University College Degree completion program was established with the objective of developing our nation’s youth into well-rounded, competitive and resilient individuals who are able to contribute significantly to the economic growth and prosperity of the country.
Students have the option of completing a dual major degree by completing an additional 6 courses. During the last 8 years, i.e. from the day ANC Education students started transferring, approximately hundred’s of ANC Education students who participated in the American University transfer programme have transferred to almost 100 different universities in the USA and 5 universities in Canada.
ANC Education introduced its Australian university pathway through Monash College Melbourne, Australia, a fully owned subsidiary of Monash University in Australia.
The pathway, the Monash University Foundation Year, MUFY (see www.mufy.monash.edu.au/) is a pre-university one-year program designed to prepare international students for university study in Australia. Students are guaranteed entry to the first-year of a Monash University undergraduate degree once they have satisfied the minimum academic and English language entry requirements. The qualification is also well recognized by other Australian and overseas universities.
Further, the MUFY has been accredited under the Commonwealth of Australia, National Foundation Programme Standards. ANC also offers the Monash College Undergraduate Diploma Part 2 programs (http://www.monash.edu/monashcollege/about/pathway/) equivalent to the first year Monash University. The Undergraduate Diploma is a guaranteed entry pathway to the second year in the Degree programmes at Monash University in Australia and other Australian universities or Malaysian universities.
